Genting Highlands sits at around 1,740 m above sea level, so the climate is noticeably cooler than Kuala Lumpur. Expect temperatures roughly between 15°C and 25°C, with frequent mist and afternoon rain. A light jacket or sweater is recommended.
Yes. The resort offers theme parks, indoor entertainment, family dining and shopping. Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park is the main outdoor attraction and includes rides and experiences for a range of ages.
Typically around 60 to 90 minutes from central Kuala Lumpur, depending on traffic and your pickup location. On weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods, allow extra time because the mountain road can become congested.

Yes. The Awana SkyWay is a cable car that runs between Awana Station (near Genting Premium Outlets) and SkyAvenue Station at the top of the resort. It takes about 10 minutes and includes a stop at Chin Swee Caves Temple.
Yes, but self-drive involves the winding mountain road, limited parking at the resort during peak times, and tolls on the way up. Many visitors prefer a private transfer so they can relax and enjoy the view instead of driving.
Yes, taxis and e-hailing services (such as Grab) can take you to Genting Highlands, but availability can be limited during peak periods and surge pricing often applies. Pre-booking a private transfer gives you a fixed arrangement and a dedicated driver.

Yes. If you would like the driver and vehicle to remain with you at Genting Highlands for the duration of your visit, this can be arranged as a continuous hourly chauffeur service, subject to availability and an additional hourly charge.
The mountain road to Genting Highlands has many curves. If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend sitting in the front passenger seat where possible and letting your driver know so they can drive more gently.
We typically drop off and pick up at Resorts World Genting (the First World Hotel and SkyAvenue area) and at Genting Premium Outlets (Awana). Let us know which one you need when you book.
No. Transportation and theme park tickets are separate. Skylimo only provides the transfer service.
If you have booked a round trip or an overnight package with us, your driver will meet you at the agreed pickup point. If you have only booked a one-way transfer to Genting, you can book a separate return transfer with us.

It depends on your group size and luggage. Small groups (1–4) are usually comfortable in a Compact MPV / SUV (Perodua Alza). For premium comfort, choose the Executive MPV (Alphard / Vellfire) or the Premium Executive Van (Toyota Hiace with Pilot Seat). For larger families, the XL MPV seats up to 9. Groups of 10–14 should book the Excursion 14-Seater Van.
Yes. You can book a one-way transfer in either direction — Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highlands, or Genting Highlands back to Kuala Lumpur, KLIA or another drop-off point.
Yes. A same-day round trip includes a morning drop-off at Genting Highlands and a return pickup later the same day. You choose both times when you book.
Yes. If you are staying overnight at Genting Highlands, we drop you off on the first date and collect you on the second date at your chosen time. Additional pickups can be arranged on request.
Yes. Please tell us in advance if you have substantial luggage or oversized items so we can arrange the appropriate vehicle.
Driver and vehicle information is provided 1 day before the scheduled pickup, according to the booking arrangement.
A booking is confirmed only after payment has been completed. A quote or booking request does not by itself guarantee vehicle and driver assignment.
Cancellation 24 hours or more before the scheduled pickup: 100% refund, no questions asked.
Cancellation less than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup: No refund, as the vehicle and driver have already been reserved and assigned to the booking.
For multi-day bookings, the 24-hour period is calculated from the pickup time on the first day of the booking.
Bring a light jacket or sweater, comfortable walking shoes, sun and rain protection, your booking information and a phone with sufficient battery or a power bank.
Yes. Tropical rain, mist and heavy traffic can affect journey times. Please allow additional travel time, especially during the rainy season and on peak weekends.
If you are heading up on a weekend or public holiday, we recommend departing your hotel around 9:00–10:00 AM to avoid the heaviest traffic and to arrive with time to spare. You can choose your own pickup time when you book.
