All You Need to Know About the 2026 Race Weekend at Sepang

Where is Sepang International Circuit?

Sepang International Circuit is located in Sepang, Selangor, close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and approximately 85 km from Kuala Lumpur city centre.

How long does it take from Kuala Lumpur?

Journey time varies according to your hotel location and traffic. During the race weekend, allow additional time because traffic around Sepang can be significantly heavier than normal.

How far is Sepang Circuit from KLIA?

The circuit is located close to KLIA, making KLIA and Sepang-area hotels convenient options for visitors.

Can I drive myself to the circuit?

Yes, but official parking at Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is limited and controlled during the race weekend.

A valid parking pass is required for all cars entering the venue. Cars without a parking pass will not be permitted in the vicinity of the circuit. Passes must be obtained by the traveller/passenger directly from the official event organiser. A valid ID is required when obtaining a parking pass.

Parking passes are valid for all three days (2–4 October 2026) and are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. For passes purchased in advance, collection is at Mitsui Outlet Park. Please review the instructions sent to you via email and plan your journey carefully to avoid peak traffic times.

Can I use Grab or a taxi?

Yes, taxi and e-hailing services (such as Grab) are available. When booking, give the driver the address: Sepang International Circuit, Jalan Pekeliling, 64150 Sepang, Selangor. Drop-off is by the main circuit entrance, and you then follow instructions to your designated spectator gate.

When leaving the venue, taxis are available from the designated taxi rank. Please note that demand can be very high after major sessions when large numbers of spectators leave at the same time. Pre-arranging your return transfer provides a planned transportation option without the long wait.

Is there a shuttle bus at Sepang Circuit?

Yes. Internal shuttle buses run during the race weekend and operate every minute during circuit opening hours. They connect key areas such as the welcome centre, mall area, main grandstand and paddock access points — useful if you want to move between different zones of the circuit during the day.

Where are the pickup and drop-off points at Sepang Circuit?

Designated pickup and drop-off points around Sepang International Circuit are determined by event-day traffic control and the relevant authorities. These locations may change during the race weekend and are not fixed in advance.

For Skylimo transfers, we will provide the designated pickup and drop-off instructions for your booking. Please follow the instructions provided on the day, as well as any directions from traffic marshals or authorities on-site.

What is included in the standard event-transfer package?

The standard arrangement is: Hotel → Sepang Circuit → designated return pickup → Hotel.

The package includes a private vehicle for your group, dedicated driver, morning hotel-to-circuit transfer, return-transfer coordination and the applicable included service period.

Does the driver stay at Sepang all day?

No. The standard event-transfer package is not continuous all-day chauffeur standby at the circuit.

After the morning drop-off, the driver leaves the circuit and returns to the standby/return-transfer arrangement from approximately 2:00 PM.

Why does standby begin from approximately 2:00 PM?

The arrangement is designed around expected event-day traffic and congestion. Returning the driver from approximately 2:00 PM allows the vehicle to be positioned for the return trip before the main spectator departure period.

Does “same dedicated vehicle and driver” mean they remain at the circuit?

No. It means the same vehicle and driver are assigned to your booking. It does not mean the vehicle remains physically at Sepang throughout the day.

Can I choose my own hotel pickup time?

Yes. You may request your preferred hotel pickup time when making your booking.

For race weekend, we recommend departing around 9:00–9:30 AM to allow additional time for event-day traffic, circuit access and getting to your designated area inside Sepang International Circuit.

You may request a later pickup time if preferred, provided sufficient travel time is allowed.

Please confirm your final pickup time with us at least 1 day before each scheduled transfer.

Can I leave the circuit earlier?

Yes. You may leave whenever you are ready. Follow the designated event-day pickup instructions and meet your driver at the assigned pickup location.

What if I want the driver to stay throughout the entire event?

Continuous on-site chauffeur standby is a different service from the standard event-transfer package and is charged separately as an hourly chauffeur service.

What does the 8:00 PM service period mean?

The included service period is until 8:00 PM. It does not mean the vehicle remains parked at the circuit continuously until 8:00 PM.

What happens if I need service after 8:00 PM?

Additional service is subject to availability:

• Executive MPV / XL Family MPV: RM60 per 30-minute block
• Compact Sedan / SUV: RM30 per 30-minute block

What happens when the event finishes?

Your return transfer is already planned. Follow the designated event-day pickup instructions and meet your driver at the assigned pickup location.

Are 2-day and 3-day packages available?

Yes. Package options may include 2-day and 3-day event-transfer packages, subject to availability.

What vehicles are available?

Vehicle options may include Compact Sedan, Compact SUV, Executive MPV such as Toyota Alphard/Vellfire, and XL Family MPV such as Hyundai Staria or Grand Starex, subject to the selected package and availability.

When will I receive the driver and vehicle details?

Driver and vehicle information is provided 1 day before the scheduled pickup, according to the booking arrangement.

When is my booking confirmed?

A booking is confirmed only after payment has been completed. A quote or booking request does not by itself guarantee vehicle and driver assignment.

Does the transfer include event admission tickets?

No. Transportation and event admission are separate unless specifically stated in your booking.

Can I bring luggage?

Please advise us if you have substantial luggage so the appropriate vehicle can be arranged.

What is the cancellation policy?

This cancellation policy applies to the entire event-transfer package, whether the booking is for 2 days or 3 days.

Cancellation 24 hours or more before the first scheduled pickup: 100% refund, no questions asked.

Cancellation less than 24 hours before the first scheduled pickup: No refund, as the vehicle and driver have already been reserved and assigned to the booking.

The 24-hour cancellation period is calculated based on the scheduled pickup time on the first day of the booking.

What should I remember before race weekend?

• Recommended hotel departure: 9:00–9:30 AM.
• Pickup time: You may choose your preferred pickup time.
• Confirm pickup: At least 1 day before each scheduled transfer.
• Traffic: Allow extra time for race-weekend traffic and circuit access.
• Parking: A valid parking pass is required; arrange directly with the official organiser if driving.
• Return: Follow the designated event-day pickup instructions.
• Standby: Driver returns to the standby/return-transfer arrangement from approximately 2:00 PM.
• After 8:00 PM: Additional service is charged by 30-minute blocks, subject to availability.

What should I bring?

Bring your event admission ticket, booking information, mobile phone, sufficient battery or a power bank, comfortable walking shoes and suitable sun/rain protection.

Can weather affect the transfer?

Yes. Tropical rain and heavy traffic can affect trip times. Please allow additional travel time during the event weekend.
